Bruce Armstrong joined the team in August 2019 as GGEDC’s new Economic Development Manager. Prior to joining GGEDC, Mr. Armstrong served as Economic Development Planner for the Pueblo of Laguna where he helped scope and strategize opportunities and pathways to help diversify the Pueblo’s economy from an over-reliance on the gaming and hospitality industries. He worked as a Grants Specialist for the University of New Mexico’s Information Technologies Department. In his capacity as Principal for Bruce D. Armstrong Consulting, LLC, he also organized and managed various residential and commercial real estate development projects and grants in Taos, New Mexico. His clients included Taos County Government, Habitat for Humanity of Taos, Inc., Taos Community Foundation and the Taos Housing Corporation.

Mr. Armstrong has a Master’s Degree in Community & Regional Planning from the University of New Mexico with emphases in Economic Development and Nonprofit Management. His obtained his Bachelor’s degree in American History at Middlebury College. He enjoys cooking, cycling, reading, and playing keyboards and violin.
