Working with Business and Industry
The Economic Base Industry in McKinley county has played an active role in establishing the Greater Gallup Industrial Workforce Program.
This is an employer-driven effort to create rapid response training to prepare workers for specific jobs. It is the first program in the area that is 100 percent industry led.
The Greater Gallup Economic Development Corporation is actively working with businesses and industry leaders to develop the local workforce. Utilizing the Greater Gallup Industrial Workforce Program, GGEDC is able to integrate requests for specific skill sets into the training curriculum in order to prepare graduates to accept jobs at local employers.
GGEDC recognizes that there is an immediate and ongoing need for developing workforce talent in the Gallup region and will remain proactive in upskilling the local workforce.
