The Economic Base Industry in McKinley county has led the creation of the Greater Gallup Industrial Workforce Program. Their leadership, support and buy-in has made it possible to provide comprehensive workforce training to local residents. Many of these employers are providing financial, in-kind or training support, and also plan on hiring graduates of the program.
“This is not another bureaucratic program. Each board member has the best interest in having qualified employees in the market. Every one of these companies is growing,” said GGEDC board member Kent Wilson, of Four Corners Welding.
