A bill that uniquely positions New Mexico as a refuge from the fog of trade uncertainty was signed into law by Gov. Michelle Lujan-Grisham last week. The move is timely as volleys of tariff threats are lobbed across oceans, leaving the global supply chain in a state of seismic flux. Notably, New Mexico is the only inland state taking this tactic to win direct foreign investment.
