Greater Gallup Industrial Workforce Program: Employer-led. Community Driven.
The Industrial Workforce Program with the Southwest Indian Foundation is an employer-led program designed to give Gallup and McKinley county residents the skills they need to succeed at in-demand jobs. Participants complete a 12-week training program that involves classroom and hands-on training before being placed in an internship, pre-apprenticeship programs or long-term job. There is No Cost to participate but individuals must show determination and drive to be selected. Local workers benefit from these life-changing opportunities and area employers win by having a constant pipeline of qualified candidates.
This program was developed with the strong support and buy-in from McKinley county’s Economic Base Industry. McKinley Paper, Marathon Petroleum, Peabody Energy, Advanced Technical Services, Four Corners Welding and Supply, Murphy Builders, Rhino Health and the Southwest Indian Foundation are some of the employers who have made this program possible.
