Greater Gallup Fills Up on Regional Hydrogen/Multifuel Hub Potential
September 30, 2025
Gallup, NM, and McKinley County are ideally situated as a regional multifuel station hub to provide 21st-century facilities and services for the trucking industry and general cross country vehicular traffic. 2024 saw GGEDC participate in a federal EPA grant application with the New Mexico Environment Department on the planning and designing of a Hydrogen/EV/Multifuel station hub along I-40.
Gallup is ideally located for Hydrogen/EV/Multifuel Fueling Hub
Situated along a major interstate and freight corridor in northwest New Mexico, a Greater Gallup refueling hub facility will have increasing value as trucking companies transition from diesel to other fuels in the future. The area is ideal for testing, piloting and implementing hydrogen and other fuels in the heavy-duty trucking space.
