On Sept. 1, 2026, the Transatlantic Business and Investment Council (TBIC) hosted its Transatlantic Business and Investment Conference in Houston, Texas. This year marked TBIC's 10th year helping economic developers, site selectors, corporate leaders, workforce developers, and others establish connections to further aid in revitalizing their local economies.
Logistics, Connectivity, and the Future of FDI
This year, Greater Gallup Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Patty Lundstrom was asked to participate on a panel entitled "Logistics, Connectivity, and the Future of FDI." In that panel, Director Lundstrom leveraged her expertise on this important issue as Gallup lies in the nexus of three major transportation assets: US HWY 491, Interstate 40, and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Transcontinental Railroad. This convergence transforms Gallup-McKinley County into a multi-modal freight platform and provides the exact operational criteria required by asset-intensive, logistics-dependent industries.
