May 2, 2023
Economic Development Week 2023 (EDW), May 8-12, increases awareness of local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities, and improve the quality of place for their communities.
In Gallup and McKinley County, NM, Greater Gallup Economic Development Corporation (GGEDC) and our partners have a week’s worth of diverse activities, panels, and seminars planned to highlight the economic achievements of our vibrant community. This year’s theme is “Using Our Home Field Advantage to Grow Gallup and McKinley County.” Greater Gallup has many successes and assets to celebrate and looks forward to even greater success in the months ahead.
GGEDC is State-Certified
The New Mexico Economic Development Department (NMEDD) has recognized GGEDC as one of seven Economic Development Organizations (EDOs) to become state-certified. Because of GGEDC's exceptional technical expertise and the support it offers to major industrial and economic-base employers in the community, this certification recognizes the high standards GGEDC adheres to in its extensive work. The certification, which can be renewed for up to 10 years, also provides up to $40,000 per year to the GGEDC to support staff travel to trade shows and professional training.
