According to research done in 2015, New Mexico was ranked sixth in the nation in utility-scale electricity generation from solar energy. Long, clear, sunny days make Gallup a perfect location for an energy business to get into renewable energy.

Out of all the energy produced in New Mexico, 10% of that is renewable energy. With terrain nearly perfect for it, wind energy produces 8% of New Mexico’s renewable energy. With a plan for all energy producers in the state to have at least 20% of their energy produced by renewable sources by 2020, New Mexico is an excellent choice for energy companies looking towards the future.
