New Mexico MainStreet Program Receives National Reaccreditation

The New Mexico Economic Development Department (NMEDD) announced today that the New Mexico MainStreet program has been reaccredited and licensed through the National Main Street Center, Inc. for 2017.
"The New Mexico MainStreet Program has again received national recognition for its innovative and high-performance economic revitalization work," said Economic Development Cabinet Secretary Designate Matt Geisel. "The comprehensive assessment of our state program highlights the impacts of the strategic and long-term investments we are making in MainStreet Districts to promote the revitalization of downtowns, encourage reinvestment in public infrastructure, support building renovations for business expansions and new start-ups, and the creation of jobs." From 2011 to 2016, New Mexico MainStreet has supported 3,271 Net New Jobs, 752 Net New Businesses, 1063 Building Rehabilitations, and $85,320,935 in Private Reinvestment.
