The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation has awarded a $62 million construction contract to build a section of pipeline for the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project, according to a U.S. Department of the Interior press release.
The Interior Department announced on Sept. 15 that the contract was awarded to Oscar Renda Contracting Inc., a subsidiary of Southland Holdings in Roanoke, Texas.
Construction will include installing approximately 28 miles of 48-inch and 42-inch diameter water transmission pipeline between Naschitti to Twin Lakes as part of the San Juan Lateral, the release states.
