Results from a survey released this week showed that Ithaca landed among top destinations for family road trips in the U.S., highlighting restaurants, state parks and other scenery among the area's main attractions.
The survey, organized by CarRentals.com, questioned 1,000 U.S. citizens about their favorite destinations to hit while planning a road trip. Results showed that nearly 70 percent of people surveyed preferred to travel with family members.
Based on results from the survey, the travel company compiled a list of the most common travel destinations people chose to take with their families. Ithaca was listed among places such as Cambria, CA, Gallup, NM, Dillon, CO and Chincoteague, VA.
