New Mexico tops in women-owned businesses

New Mexico also recently was named one of the best states for women entrepreneurs
In the past 20 years, the United States has seen a 114 percent increase in women-owned businesses. And yet, despite the push towards gender equality in the workplace, the nation still has a long way to go.
Next year is sure to be another big one for women, so the data analytics team at Frontier Business decided to take a look at the most progressive states for women in business. Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the team ranked every state according to the percentage of businesses owned by females.
