Mining in the San Juan Basin

There are only four prime locations for surface coal mining in the entire San Juan Basin. Given that the coal in the San Juan Basin is considered to be some of the highest quality of coal in the world, forming or expanding a coal business into the greater Gallup, NM area is an excellent idea. When you factor in the growing access to infrastructure in the region, the energy sector is poised for phenomenal growth.
The Crevasse Canyon Formation is found in the Crownpoint Field and has the terrain and structure for optimal mining potential.
