Future Forward for the Gallup/McKinley County Airport

On February 7, 2025, GGEDC hosted its 15th Economic Roundtable, spotlighting automation, AI tech, and the future of the Gallup-McKinley County TradePort, titled: FUTURE FORWARD: Automation, AI Tech,& the Gallup-McKinley County TradePort. From AV testing facilities to AI-driven logistics, thought leaders gathered to envision a cutting-edge transportation hub. The event continued the progress developed in two 2024 economic roundtables 

Strategic Location, Assets Support a Regional TradePort

The logistical hub would build upon Gallup's strategic location and transportation assets to help with the supply chain to and from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach to Asia. In 2025, GGEDC will magnify the focus on the potential offered by a Regional TradePort through a data-informed export strategy to prioritize the targeting and attraction of automotive, metals, industrial machinery, agribusiness, and bioscience industries.
