    GGEDC at NUCLEAR NM!

    April 23, 2026

From April 20-22, GGEDC attended the first annual Nuclear in New Mexico Conference hosted by the Clean Energy Association of New Mexico at the Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa in Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico. At the conference, GGEDC heard from a broad spectrum of experts and community leaders addressing how New Mexico is uniquely positioned to become a clean energy powerhouse powered by the abundance of Uranium deposits and unique expertise in the state. The conference organizers sought to engage key local stakeholder tribes and communities in the formulation of the framework for a "nuclear renaissance" to involve, hear and heed their voices on how the industry might help to heal the legacy of past nuclear practices, avoid making the same mistakes, and to circumvent and mitigate the potential for future harm.
